What an amazing Journey of Learning we had in Taiwan these past 2 weeks. I could really feel that many where deeply touched and moved by all that took place and all that was experienced.

I just wanted to thank all those involved and who had a hand in the planning, preparation, service and EVERYONE that we met and bonded with.

I have about 2000 photos to go through so please be patient. I'll put up more, but in the mean time you can check out a few on my flickr account.

BEWARE: Passport processing taking up to 100 times longer than usual

SF Parking Lot Shoot 2

Hey folks, if I were you, i'd apply for a passport ASAP even if you're not planning to travel out of the country for the next 10 years. Check out this article written about why its taking so long. with a quick google search i've just seen this article about how Congress is intervening in the passport back up.

After waiting for 6 weeks for expedite service, countless hours of phote calls to the National Passport Agency, numerous headaches and total fustration May and I had to go into the agency 2 days before our trip to get Skylar's passport. So be warned, folks.

At least I had a chance to do a quickie photo shoot w/ my fav. kid model, Charles Paul. Very urban, yes, i know. Took this shot (more on my flickr-click on the picture to be routed to my flickr account) in the parking lot of Canton Restuarant right across Folsom Street from the SF Passport Agency.

How it all started

Mom and Dad's wedding

After getting back from Fresno this weekend my sister brought back some old photos that belong to my parents. It's amazing what photography can do and accomplish: capture that moment in time for the end of time.

Everything that I am today I owe to my parents. I'm honored to call myself their son and I live each day of my life in accordance to what they would have wanted me to, especially carrying on with the spiritual journey they've already help established.

I miss my parents dearly and there's not a day that passes that I don't think about them. My mom would have been 52 years old this year, my father 63.

Took this shot last night as we went to see Transformers. Boy was Isaiah kicking a lot. He's been really active in May's tummy. I think he didn't like the movie either.

Noe & Talo

First, congrats to Noe and Talo on their engagement! I had an awesome time shooting them on Friday, even though i was a little under the weather (a lot under the weather in the morning). Their love for one another manifest in their interactions during my first engagement shoot ever. Here are the rest.

Finally, the weekend is over

Ice Cream Face

Boy did this weekend seem long. Not that it's a bad situation to be in. It just seemed like there was so many things to do and so little time. Since May's been out of town I haven't been able to sleep well. I've had head aches just around bed time. Maybe I just miss her.

I really wanted to see my little nephews this weekend. I was able to do that on Saturday w/ my All-Star Chucky as I took him and Skylar to the Oakland Animal Shelter to see the bunny rabbits.

Ayden on the other hand I missed seeing him when his mother came to drop off Seydee, his older sister, back here in Oakland. This kid is ozing cuteness as you can see for yourself w/ ice cream all over his face.

Last week after giving Ayden a bath I wrapped him in a towel and made it so that it wouldn't fall off him if he walked around. He looked just like a little monk, shaved head and all, as he walked from room to room. Don't worry, i'll get a picture of that and put it up.

Chilly Friday Night

Last night I had the chance to hang out w/ Kevin, John and Skylar as I took them out to the Oakland A's baseball game. Thanks to Craig's List I scored some really sweet seats for a really sweet price.

In the end, the A's lost, 3 - 2 in 10 innings, but regardless of the score we had a good time. I am blessed to have the chance to bond w/ the boys a little more.

It's a.......

As far back as I can remember I've always had the intuition that my first born would be a girl. Everyone has heard of that cliche "Daddy's Girl" before, right? I don't know what it was that made me have this feeling. So when May and I first found out we were having a baby I was completely convince that it was going to be a girl. May, too, was convinced the new baby would be a girl since her first born was a boy, our son Skylar.

So finally on the 16th of May we had our ultrasound. I remember the weekend right before the day of the ultrasound I had the slightest doubt that our baby would be a girl but instead be a little boy. Funny thing was that we had already been calling the baby by the name we picked thinking that it was going to be a girl since the day we found out: Sofie. So that day as May was taking me to work I turned to her and said, "What if it's a boy?" She then confessed that she had too had a slight doubt that our intuition was correct.

Later that morning we got our answer:

If you look closely, this is a shot of the baby from the bottom up. You can make out two little legs pointed to the left, and right in between the legs there is an extra piece protruding.
It's a boy!!!

The Human Experience as seen on Flickr

I came across this set from a flickr member from singapore. She documents her trip she took in december 2006 to Iran to meet up w/ othe flickr members who are from Iran.

Her story has captivated me because it really emulates the elements of humanity that exist in all people, regardless of culture, race, gender.

You can read it and check out the photos here.
